To request assistance from your congressman or woman, the petitioner or alien must contact him or her.  Use this link https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml to learn who the representatives for your area of residence are and how to contact them.

VISA BULLETIN

To determine your approximate wait time, you must know your priority date, which is your date on the waiting list, and the visa category of your case.  This link will take you to the Visa Bulletin, which is issued monthly by the U.S. Department of State.  The waiting list is determined based on the number of visas in each category and the number of people on the waiting list in each category.  There is also a per-country limit which affects certain countries, which are listed individually.  The waiting list date for anyone not from one of the countries listed is the date in the first column.
